Nakata Engineering Ltd., is headquarted in Kobe, Japan and is one of the world's leaders in the design and manufacture of specialized production equipment for the tire industry.

Nakata has a long established history of technical excellence in providing customers with machinery which has major benefits for tire quality, reliability, productivity and safety. Nakata's reputation over recent years has been as one of the world's leaders in the design of multiplex cold feed extruders. Unique extruder screw and head technology coupled with the multi configuration of up to five extruders, allows tire designers the flexibility of using a variety of compounds within a single extruded component. In particular, Nakata multiplex extruders provide manufacturers methods of designing fuel efficient tires.

In 2008, Nakata established a manufacturing facility in Suzhuo, China with the capability of manufacturing a full range of cold feed extruders and other specialized equipment.

Nakata and Wyko are trading partners with extensive reciprocal marketing and service agreements.

Nakata represents Wyko in Japan, Korea and Taiwan and Wyko represents Nakata in North America, South America, Europe and Africa. Wyko also provides a full customer support service from the service center located in Greenback, Tennessee.
